Since 1968, KOOL PAK°’s growth from a small regional carrier to an industry-leading transportation services provider comes from our dedication to exceptional client service, safety and continuous improvement. We offer superior services in four major business segments:

LTL refrigerated service to the western U.S. and Canada
Brokerage services to Northwest-based shippers
Redistribution refrigerated services throughout Oregon, Washington, California and British Columbia, with a regular schedule to major consignees
Regional over-the-road (OTR), and LTL refrigerated service to and from Arizona, California, Idaho, Oregon, Utah, Washington and throughout Canada

As the Leaders in Worry-free LTL shipping®, our fleet includes over 90 power units and 120 trailers, the majority of which are dual temp.

Kool Pak launches refrigerated and Frozen LTL service from the Denver, CO market back to OR, WA, CA, and BC.

Kool Pak ends transcontinental deliveries to the Southeast to continue to bring capacity back to the West coast and improve service and to focus on opening new markets in the western region.

August

Corporate office expands facility from Lake Oswego location to nearby southwest Portland, at 6650 SW Redwood Ln, Suite 300.

Our maintenance and drop yard facility moves and expands to 16800 SE Evelyn Street, Suite E 180 Clackamas Oregon 97015.

September

We outgrow our expanded Ontario facility once again. At the start of the month, we move to Rancho Cucamonga to our new 52,000 square feet facility with frozen/chill/dry storage, at 8784 Rochester Avenue, Rancho Cucamonga, California 91730.

We now offer you over 58,000 sq ft of capacity featuring a chill dock and 11 doors ready to serve you. In addition, we have the capacity to manager 700 pallets of frozen storage, 700 pallets of chill storage and 1,200 pallets of dry storage.

In December 2018, we moved into an expanded warehouse / distribution facility in Sumner, WA.

2014

KOOL PAK expanded west coast services through an agreement with Sierra Pacific in Patterson, California. Through this partnership, we acquired an allocated capacity of 20,000 SF of both frozen and chilled storage in Patterson.

2012

KOOL PAK° Brokerage Services was created as part of our family of transportation companies to provide dedicated LTL and truckload volume services for frozen, refrigerated and dry goods. Working in partnership with every customer, KOOL PAK° Logistics ensures every shipment is delivered on time, safe and secure throughout the cold chain process.

KOOL PAK° acquired British Columbia-based carrier Polar Express Transportation, Ltd., to expand transportation, warehousing and regularly scheduled delivery services of temperature-controlled LTL shipments throughout Canada and the U.S.

KOOL PAK° opened our terminal operation in the southern California hub of Ontario.

2005

KOOL PAK° acquired Excel Transportation, a regional Seattle-based LTL carrier, to establish a facility in Kent, Washington and improve service for the entire West Coast.

1994

Ness Holding Company purchased a regional refrigerated truckload carrier to merge with KOOL PAK°, adding capacity to and from California.

1987

Ness Holding Company acquired majority interest in KOOL PAK° LLC.

1968

KOOL PAK° began providing refrigerated LTL services throughout the Northwest, primarily serving local customers.
