Location: Clackamas, OR
Pay: $350.00 / Day while on a run
Runs: 4-5 Days Out
Equipment: 2024 Freightliner or newer, automatic, APU generator, 53-foot trailers

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Drive a tractor-trailer combination on long-haul trips taking designated routes and as assigned throughout the continental US.
  • Apply knowledge of commercial driving regulations to transport and deliver products or materials.
  • Maintain driver logs according to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations.
  • Read the bill of ladings to determine the assignment.
  • Load or unload or assist in loading and unloading the truck, if needed.
  • Inventory and inspect goods.
  • Temperature-check, the product, wrap the goods using pads, packing paper, and containers and secure the load to the trailer wall using acceptable methods.

Qualifications Required:

  • 2 plus years of Class A driving experience.
  • 0 – 3 years of reefer experience.
  • 0 – 2 years of less than load (LTL) experience.
  • Class A commercial driver’s license (CDL).
  • Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Card).
  • 21 years old to drive a commercial motor vehicle across state lines (interstate); to drive a commercial motor vehicle that contains hazardous materials.
  • Previous forklift experience and become newly recertified.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and organize.
  • Excellent communication skills are necessary, both written and verbal, as you will be interacting with internal and external sources via phone and in person.
  • Computer experience required (spreadsheets & data entry).
  • Meet Kool Pak’s minimum driver qualifications.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Utilize load and stop-order loading cards, temperature consideration, and weight distribution.
  • Case pick and palletize orders, sort, tag, and temperature check freight.
  • Use bulkheads and load locks when loading & unloading less than truckload (LTL) temp-controlled local, long-haul delivery, and shuttle route trailers.
  • Receive temp-controlled freight from company trailers and outside carriers and handle over, short, and damaged freight.
  • Perform warehouse forklift equipment maintenance and tasks. Operate hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, or other handling equipment to move material to and from trailers and within the storage facility.

Qualifications Required:

  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
  • Knowledge of bill of ladings and other shipping documents and work with limited assistance/supervision.
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Reliability, commitment, and a strong sense of urgency.
  • Previous forklift experience and become newly recertified.

Customer Service Warehouse Representative (part-time) - Clackamas, OR

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Receive and process inbound truck driver paperwork, process bill of lading, file, copy documents.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and assist drivers as needed.
  • Schedule appointments.
  • Create and locate purchase orders.
  • Identify discrepancies in shipments.
  • Manage storage accounts in a multi-temperature warehouse up to freezing temperatures utilizing the 3PL system.
  • Label pallets, locate and assist with freight, and tag as needed.
  • Warehouse inventory as needed, or time permits.
  • Write freight/inventory tags for the warehouse as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required:

  • Knowledge of enterprise resource planning systems (TruckMate experience preferred).
  • Comfortable working in a warehouse environment as needed.
  • Forklift experience is a plus.
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external sources via email, phone, and in person.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Time management and ability to work independently.
  • Beginner/intermediate typing skills, including experience with the 10-key by touch.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work in a team and individually.
